The Aerie On-Mountain Restaurant

About the Project

The Aerie consists of a two-story building at 11,207 feet above sea level; Copper Mountain’s American Eagle gondola unloads on the second-floor deck, which allows for a seamless transition for all guests and staff, including those arriving by foot. With a full-service casual restaurant, bar and lounge, a private dining area for events, cafeteria, and 180-degree views of the Gore and Ten Mile Ranges, this project takes Copper’s on-mountain dining to the next level and continues to improve the year-round mountain experience at Copper. This project took place over two mountain construction seasons and had to build through and entire ski season. The Aerie replaced the existing and smaller Solitude Station. This project is the winner of the 2024 ENR Mountain States Best Project in the Office/Retail/Mixed Use category.
